Self-Rescue Is Task One

Self-rescue an essential capability on your personal watercraft. In an emergency, the difference between control and catastrophe may be only a few seconds. Being mechanically prepared, procedurally trained, and mentally ready allows you to respond immediately when conditions deteriorate. Proper equipment and rehearsed procedures significantly improve outcomes. Visit our Resources section for the latest safety contingencies and operational guidance for PWC operations.

Rapid-Fire™ Emergency Rescue Rope System

No tools needed to install. The Rapid-Fire™ Emergency Rescue Rope is a pre-packed, rapid-deployment rescue and tow system designed for real-world scenarios. Ready to deploy, it can be used to tow a disabled watercraft, extend an emergency anchor, or be thrown to a swimmer or victim in the water—keeping you effective when seconds matter.

Don't be caught with a tangled mess of rope that is too short, too weak and difficult to deploy.

The TWS Rapid-Fire includes 50 feet of 8,000-lb-strength synthetic tow rope, pre-loaded in a high-visibility reflective throw bag. The system also features a 316 stainless steel quick-connect safety carabiner, 2 line stoppers and an intake hose tow-tap clamp to prevent engine back-flushing while towing a PWC.

Add the TWS Extender rope for safe and easy towing extension to 100ft.

For towing a small watercraft, 50ft is just the start. You need enough line to prevent extreme shock loads over waves and boat wakes that can create new hazards for both vessels. For quick extraction, 50ft is the first line of use. For distance towing and higher speeds 100ft is recommended.

The Rapid-Fire can also be used to quickly extend your TWS anchor to 100ft and when combined with the TWS extender, achieve 150ft.

Deployment Configurations

Lake & Calm Water Mode

Designed for calm water and low-risk conditions where manually attaching to the front of the watercraft is safe. The system is stored unattached in the front hatch and connects quickly to the bow tow ring using the safety carabiner—eliminating the need for knots and a fast connection.

Heavy Water Mode

Designed for high-risk environments including swift currents, large surf, intake debris, and increased risk of being disabled . In this configuration, the system is permanently attached to the bow tow eye, eliminating the need for a crew member to enter the water. This allows faster, safer deployment during urgent rescue scenarios.

Proper installation and inspection are critical in Heavy Water Mode. The system incorporates two redundant rope stoppers to prevent accidental deployment or rope ingestion into the intake. Refer to the included Safety Advisory for correct installation and use.

Optional Safety Enhancements

  • TWS Tow / Anchor Rope Extender
Fifty feet is often insufficient in heavy seas or rough water. The rope extender adds length, shock absorption, and flexibility, featuring closed-eye splices on both ends and its own rapid-deploy storage bag.

  • TWS Anchor kit
Prepacked in its own waterproof bag, the kit includes 50ft line, float, winding spool, stainless anchor chain and no-foul cable ties.
