Drown Prevention
Ocean Drownings
Ocean drownings remain a serious global issue, often occurring in fast-moving, unpredictable environments where seconds matter and access is limited. As rescue watercraft play a larger role in coastal response, it becomes increasingly important that they are equipped with the right tools designed to save lives more effectively.
At Tactical Water Safety, our origins are rooted in a simple but demanding goal: to have a positive, measurable impact on society by helping save lives on the water. TWS wasn’t built from theory or trend-driven design. From the beginning, we believed that water rescue tools should be shaped by the environments they’re used in, not by opinions formed far from the shoreline.
Over time, we saw a pattern across the PWC and rescue equipment space: too many products were designed around assumptions rather than proof. Ideas that sounded good didn’t always translate into effective performance once exposed to surf, cold water, fatigue, or high-stress situations. TWS was created to close that gap. Every product and outfit we build is informed by hands-on lifeguarding, surf operations, mechanical insight, and repeated real-world use. If something doesn’t serve a clear purpose or improve outcomes in the field, it doesn’t belong on the ski.
A core part of our mission is equipping agencies and operators with the right tools for the job—without forcing them to piece everything together on their own. That’s why we focus on turnkey rescue watercraft (RWC) solutions. Instead of delivering a stock PWC and a list of upgrades, we provide fully outfitted, mission-ready machines that arrive configured for immediate use.
Rescue watercraft have changed the way lives are saved in the marine environment. Their speed, maneuverability, and access to areas unreachable by larger vessels have made them indispensable tools for modern water safety operations. When properly outfitted and used by trained operators, RWCs dramatically reduce response times, improve victim recovery, and extend the operational reach of rescue teams. The difference between a well-equipped RWC and an improvised PWC can be measured in lives saved.
At TWS, our aspiration is not just to build equipment, but to support those who protect others in unpredictable environments. By combining real-world experience, purposeful design, and turnkey delivery, we aim to make professional-grade rescue tools more accessible to the agencies and individuals who rely on them. In the end, everything we do comes back to one outcome: helping the right people show up with the right equipment, ready to save lives when it matters most.
